As if I already didn't know this....things don't always go as planned.
1. Still pumping = better than formula, thank goodness for the pump!
2. Disposable diapers = better than nothing :)
3. I think I have finally realized that I am not going to get much sleep or do much of anything besides take care of Parker for a few weeks (or months), but I am OK with it :)
First of all, tomorrow is my actual "due date". Love that I am holding Parker in my arms instead :) .
Thank goodness Daddy took 2 weeks off of work. He is an amazing father and SO MUCH HELP!
Unfortunately the first week is over and we spent it in the hospital, but at least I get him to help this week. Feedings are still challenging.... I nurse, then we try the bottle.... 12 times a day. I am already tired of pumping, but have a nice supply in the freezer I am quite proud of :) . I went back to visit my midwife for my 2 week postpartum appointment....everything checked out just fine. Parker came with me and enjoyed the car ride out to Novi. Everyone told me I would be tired...they were right. I am tired. It still isn't fun or easy to have to wake Parker up to eat during the night. Hoping he starts to wake us up soon and tell us when he is hungry. I also wanted to start using cloth diapers. I bought a bunch with the gift cards we were given at our shower. I started out my trying the g-diapers. Super cute, easy to use, easy to clean. One problem, his cord is still on and they rub on it too much for my comfort. Good thing we have a good stash of disposables from our shower too. Hopefully his cord will come of soon so I can stop worrying about that and kiss his sweet belly button :) .
